Casateak Furniture’s outdoor teak sofas and daybeds are constructed of solid grade. A plantation of teak wood or teak combined with stainless steel, aluminum, and metal frames. Teak wood is one of the hardest, most durable woods. It’s naturally weather-resistant and requires very little maintenance or care, which makes it ideal for outdoor use. Garden & patio furniture made from teak will last for years. Teak is normally sold in one of two forms. Either finely sanded, leaving it in its natural state or treated with teak oil. We offer our outdoor teak furniture in both natural stains and teak finishes.
Do you have to decide between the good-looking and the comfortable teak-wood sofa set? Then you should choose the comfortable one. But this is especially true if the sofa will get a lot of use.
The thing is, you shouldn’t have to make a choice between pretty and comfortable. Because choosing pretty doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice comfort. All you need is a little guidance and experience when the time comes to make your decision.
Find out what things to look for when buying a comfortable teak wood sofa set below. And if you ever find yourself struggling to make a decision between different sofas, feel free to ask for help. We have many helpful and experienced salesmen on staff who would love to assist you in making your decision.
You can only tell if a sofa is comfortable by sitting on it.
Your living room is the second most important room in your house behind your kitchen, and your sofa is the number one piece of furniture in your home. You want to put some thought into where you will want your sofa located. Don’t be afraid to center your sofa in a room or even use your sofa as a divider. Many of our teak-wood sofa sets have beautiful teak-wood back planks, and it would be a shame to hide them against the wall.
Curved or sloped backs are most visible when the couch rests in the center of the room. Another thing to remember is that prolonged exposure to direct sunlight will cause the sofa’s teak wood finish, leather, and fabric to fade. As far as safety is concerned, keep the sofa positioned at least thirty centimeters away from fireplaces, radiators, and other heat sources.
Correct dimensions are also necessary after comfort.
Take a measurement of the area where you want your teak sofa set to be placed.
For better visualization, take a measurement tape and draw your floor plan where you wish to place your sofa, and call us to see if we have sofas with those particular measurements. If not, we at Casateak specialize in customized handmade teak furniture. You can order a sofa set in those exact measurements, whatever your heart desires, so it can fit perfectly. You can also draw out a sketch of your living room on paper and cut out a sheet of paper in ratio to the sofa, making it easier for you to try out different locations.
Also remember to leave room to walk around the sofa itself. Once you have found a sofa you like to buy, remember to measure your doorway before buying your custom-made teak wood sofa—you want it to fit through it. 🙂
The quality of sofa foam used for cushions is another important factor. Here at Casateak, we use high-density foam, which will stand the test of time and not lose shape. If you don’t like the idea of constantly tweaking and adjusting your sofa, get a sofa with foam pillows to support the back as well. Fixed cushions also help your sofa retain its original shape and need less maintenance.
Choosing the Correct Fabric Cover
When selecting your sofa, you should consider the fabric very carefully. The fabric is what makes your sofa unique, and the durability of your sofa very much depends on the quality of fabric you choose. Fabrics also hide stains differently. Certain fabrics can go in the washing machine for home washing, while others will need a dry cleaner’s service.
If you will be using your sofa frequently, you may want to choose a fabric that ranks high in durability. But if that’s not your situation, opting for a leather sofa may be your best choice.
